The Old Shed Distillery
Long weekend at the cellar door or a quiet night at home – either way, our small-batch spirits are made to be mixed as much as sipped. Here are three easy cocktail recipes using bottles straight from the Old Shed range, each one simple enough to put together with what’s already in your kitchen and no fancy bar equipment required.

An Easy Cocktail Recipe: The Mountain Gin & Tonic
Start simple. Fill a glass with plenty of ice, pour 45ml of Gin Part 1 or Gin Part 2, top with a good quality tonic and finish with a twist of orange peel or a sprig of rosemary if you have it. Part 1 leans citrus-forward, Part 2 is more botanical – worth trying both side by side to see which one you prefer. It’s the easiest of the three recipes here, and the one we’d pour for a first-time visitor at the cellar door.
The Citruscello Spritz Recipe
A slow-afternoon drink. Pour 30ml of Citruscello over ice, top with sparkling wine or soda water and a splash of fresh orange juice if you’d like it a little sweeter. Garnish with a slice of orange or lemon. It’s ready in under a minute, which makes it an easy pour when people turn up at the door unannounced.
The Old Shed Espresso Martini Recipe
The one to bring out after dinner. Shake 30ml of Coffee Liqueur, 30ml of OS Vodka and a fresh shot of espresso (or 30ml of strong cold-brew) hard with ice, then strain into a chilled glass. Three coffee beans on top if you’re feeling fancy. Shake it longer than feels necessary – that’s what gives it the proper frothy top.
All three bottles are available from our online shop, shipped Australia-wide, or come try them at the cellar door in Bilpin – Thursday to Sunday, tastings and drinks from the tap included. However you make them, these are easy cocktail recipes worth keeping on hand for whenever the mood strikes.
As always, please enjoy responsibly.
